Fordyce Lake - Nevada County, California

Visited on 7/5/18 during a long weekend trip to Lake Tahoe to watch the 4^th of July Fireworks Celebration and for a long weekend of High Sierra camping with Jeff and our dogs, Summer and Skye.  We centrally located ourselves for the weekend at the Lodgepole campground at Lake Valley Reservoir near Cisco Grove, CA.  Fordyce Lake is a 1,045 acre reservoir located at 6,402 feet above sea level. 

This very rough and boulder rock trail leads down to Fordyce Lake.  4x4 with high clearance required!  At this point Jeff and the dogs decided to walk ahead and lead the way down and navigate the Jeep around the best spots to clear the boulders on the road.
