Lake Clementine - Placer County, California

Visited on 1/28/2017 – Picture taken on a Saturday drive with Jeff and our dogs, Summer and Skye.  View from roadway descending down canyon.   Lake picture taken in the afternoon, on a day after we received a week of heavy rains in the Sierra Mountains, a few hours before sunset.  Lots of logs filled the lake on this day that had washed down the North Fork of the American River. This lake was formed by the construction of the North Fork Dam has a natural drop off to a spillway.  This 279 acre lake is at an elevation of 718 feet above sea level just east of the Foresthill Bridge, northeast of Auburn, California.
