Visited on 6/17/2017 – Picture taken on a
Saturday hike from Loon Lake with Jeff and our dogs, Summer and Skye. View from southwest side of Lake in the early
afternoon. Spider Lake is a 6,716 feet above sea level and located just
northeast of Loon Lake reservoir in the Eldorado National Forest of El Dorado
County, California. Long hike up from Loon Lake campground with our dogs. The trail has a lot of granite rock chips and the dogs really needed their boots for this hike. They got a little sore from the long day and they were glad when we made it back to camp. The Lake was so beautiful and it was totally worth the hike into Desolation Wilderness to see it.
